Can You See Him Now?

Let’s take a good, hard look at Jesus. How well do we really know Him? We just prayed through the last few days of His life, applying those truths to our relationships with Him. Job thought He knew God. That is, until God showed up and asked Him a series of questions: “Where were you when…? Did you…? Do you know…? Are you able…?” When God revealed Himself in full reality before Job, it changed his life forever. Though he had lost everything, he repented to God for his pride and ignorance. He realized that he really knew little about God and His ways until the very moment God confronted him. He had known what others had told him about God, but now, he knew Him for himself, and he was forever changed. The nation needs a fresh revelation of God. Go get it!

“You told me to listen while you spoke and to try to answer your questions. In the past I knew only what others had told me, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.” (Job 42:4-5; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • The way we “see” Jesus now is through the Bible. Start reading it in a new way – to receive a revelation of Who He is.
  • Forgive when you see things in that Bible that were once taught to you out of context, or where God was misrepresented. Embrace the truth. Look up the Greek and Hebrew meanings of words using a concordance or Bible app.
  • As you read, let God ask you the types of questions he asked Job. Know you do not have answers. You don’t know, but He does. Let this knowledge cause you to worship Him.
  • Let Him show you how to pray and what to do to make Him known in your sphere of influence.

A prayer you can pray:

I want to see God! Show me, Father, as I read Your Word. Holy Spirit reveal truth to me in those precious words. Lord, I forgive those who knew in part and taught in part. Forgive me for not checking some things out for myself. Correct my spiritual vision and knowledge of You, as I study to show myself approved. Let me not be afraid for You to ask me questions about Yourself that I have no answers to. I will worship You and let You teach me! Teach me to pray all over again in new and fresh ways, so that I touch Your heart, even as You touch mine. Set me in the harvest fields in my sphere of influence, introducing others to Jesus. America will be saved! Amen.

Today’s decree:

He is freshly revealing Himself to the Ekklesia through His Word!
