America’s Destiny Has Never Changed
In 1607, Robert Hunt planted a cross in the sand at Cape Henry and prophesied that the Gospel would go forth, not only across this nation, but to all the nations of the earth from these shores. You probably weren’t taught that in your history class. But, our nation was born under that prophetic decree. That is the destiny of America—to be a beachhead for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world. We are to be a city on a hill, a light to the nations. That destiny has never changed! Many have tried to abort it. It has never changed!
“My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.” (Isaiah 55:11; GWT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Pray that God’s purpose for America will be fulfilled as stated above.
- Ask God to restore to His people the truth of why He established America.
- Declare that we will fulfill His heart’s destiny for this nation, even though some have tried to hide it, even remove the reality of it.
- Many have taken the Gospel from these shores to many nations of the earth. Decree that there is a new fresh wave of the Gospel going to the nations from the United States in this generation.
- Choose a country and passionately pray that God sends the Gospel from here to there.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, my heart is crying out to see Your dream for America fulfilled in my generation. May the Gospel be spread all across this land and may we take it to every nation on earth from our shores. Though many have tried to hide Your involvement in establishing this nation, we say it will be hidden no longer. Every single thin You planned for us will come to pass. The enemy may have delayed it and tried to bury it, but he cannot stop it! You said Your Word will achieve what You set it forth to accomplish. I agree! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
