Awaken the Lost

“At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!

I do believe, I do believe
That Jesus died for me;
And through His blood, His precious blood
I am from sin set free.”¹

The message of the cross is the message of hope and life to the spiritually dead, though they may not know they are. Those in this nation who do not yet know Christ are blind, but think they see. They do not realize what is filtering their view—the God-less, humanist societal atmosphere all around them. Most of what they have learned in school and from media outlets and online is void of God and His ways. Professing themselves wise, they are becoming fools. Professing themselves kind leaves many thinking they have no need of God. In fact, they become sure that God would agree with them to kill their babies for various self-logical reasons, and to marry whomever they love, while justifying divorcing the one they no longer love. What a mess!

Helped along by judicial decisions and legislation at state and national levels, the darkness has been growing darker in America. The harvest fields of America are white! There is a separation of light and dark, wheat and tares. As the light in America grows lighter, the darkness is growing profoundly dark. It is time for the Church to be the Light into this darkness and to open those blind eyes with the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Societal transformation will follow, when those who can now see into the darkness will penetrate it with His plans and purposes.

“One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” (John 9:25)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Cry out for the salvation of every lost person you know.
• Call for spiritually blind eyes to be opened and for the power of the blood of Jesus to wash every secular-humanist mindset away!
• Pray for revelation from Holy Spirit that shows where individuals consider themselves to be “kinder than God”. Pray for a deep repentance and embracing of His Word and His Truth, even if it is costly.
• Intercede for the gifts and callings locked inside the newly born-again to be rapidly released into this nation so desperate for their revealing and Kingdom impact!

A prayer you can pray:

Jesus, I ask for (name those you know that need Jesus as Savior) to be saved! Open their blind eyes and help them to see You. Transform their minds and remove their secular-humanistic thinking by the blood of Jesus. May their repentance be deep and the embracing of Your Word and Your Truth be passionate. Let them realize that Your ways and Your justice are always compassionate, but that You define compassion differently than the world does. Let their gifts and callings be matured quickly, so that we have more workers for Kingdom advancement and harvest. Amen!

Today’s decree:

America is shifting as the lost come into a revelation of Christ as their Savior and take their places through a revelation of who God has created them to be.
