National General Strike Planned

There is a National General Strike1 planned today. An immigrant strike took place yesterday. President Trump has said that he didn’t divide this country and he is correct. This country has grown more and more divided over the last few years, and the media are currently inflaming the divides that exist. This strike is one of a series of strikes planned throughout the year, which grew out of the Women’s March on Washington, held the day after the Inauguration. These are not healthy for this nation now or in the future.

“The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked make themselves a stench and bring shame on themselves.” (Proverbs 13:5; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray that these protests remain peaceful, if they are held at all. The national weather report is looking very challenging in many parts of the country today.
  • Pray that interest in these protests would wane.
  • Call forth the government strategies, that once put in place, will show that the government is not hateful nor to be feared. Pray that this revelation would defuse much of the anger and fear.
  • The media is taking advantage of the anger and fear some Americans are feeling. Ask God that the American public would call them into accountability.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we desire that this upheaval in our nation would calm down. Individuals are being pulled into protests that are well-organized by leadership that is using them as pawns, They could be hurt physically and financially by participating in them. We pray for safety for all involved. Our government is neither hate-filled or looking to harm anyone. The media is causing people to think so. God, we ask You to call them into account for what they are doing! Defuse the angst and grant us grace and unity and peace as a nation, Lord. In Jesus Name, amen.

Today’s decree:

God will open up the eyes of this nation’s citizens, and they will begin to see that this government is not against them, but cares about them and their family’s future here.
