Jesus, Lord At His Birth**

Silent night, Holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and child
Holy infant, tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, Holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth
Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Silent night, Holy night
Shepherds quake, at the sight
Glories stream from heaven above
Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah.
Christ the Savior is born,
Christ the Savior is born. (Reverend Joseph Mohr and Franz Gruber; public domain)

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (Luke 2:10-12; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Pray the song “Silent Night” slowly back to the Lord letting the words of the verses really sink in. If worship rises up inside you, slow down and speak it out, but try not to sing the song.
  • Now, sing the song slowly to the Lord expressing your love and gratefulness to Him.
  • If you have been feeling fearful lately, let fear fall away. Ask Lord Jesus to give you His joy!
  • He was the great Reconciler, anointed to reconcile men to God. People are in need of being reconciled to God and one another in this nation now. Ask the Anointed One to make you a reconciler of men, as well.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we are so thankful that You gave us Your Son, Jesus! We are so thankful, Lord Jesus, that You agreed to come to us, starting as a little baby. We honor You with this song (read the words of Silent Night to Him, letting the words be very real and right from your heart. Then, sing it to Him.) Lord, let Your love deliver me from fear. Exchange it for Your Joy! Anoint me to reconcile men to You. Make me a reconciler of men to God, even as You are, Jesus. Raise up a mighty army of Believers as Reconcilers, Holy Spirit! Amen and amen!

Today’s decree:

The Church will be filled with love for Lord Jesus and be great reconcilers of men to God in this day in America!

**NOTE: Dutch Sheets Ministries recognizes that Jesus was likely born at Passover in the Spring. However, His birth is celebrated worldwide and this is a great time to show forth the love and light of Christ to your family and neighbors.
